“Our relationship has improved a lot. Sex life improved too because I don’t feel that uncomfortable feeling like oh he’s going to judge me on my body anymore. People don’t judge me here.”
– Alpha P.
Are you tired of packing around extra weight? Do you wish that you could drop it and keep it off? If so, there are a few things that you can do to improve your weight loss experience. These tips will get you started down the right path:
Get Proper Rest – You might not realize it, but your weight is partially dependent on whether you get a good night’s sleep or not. Whether you like to eat a bunch of carbs just before bed, have no set bedtime or keep hitting the snooze button on your alarm in the mornings, poor rest can wreak havoc on your body.
Set up a bedtime routine and stick to it. Avoid food for at least two hours before hitting the hay, and digital devices for at least an hour before. This will give your body time to digest the food and wind down from the stimulation. Instead, engage in relaxing activities so you can awaken refreshed and ready to start the day. A nice shower or bath. Read a book. Listen to an audio program.
Morning Stretches – Enhance your morning routine with a session of stretches. This will improve your circulation, waken up stiff muscles and jump-start your calorie burning for the day. You can stretch while still in your bed, get up and perform a sun salutation or find another round of stretching exercises to invigorate you.
Stay Hydrated – Your body needs plenty of water for the delivery of nutrients and removal of cellular waste to every organ and tissue in your system. In addition to water-rich foods, such as vegetables, you should drink 8-10 glasses of water every day. Because the amount you need depends on multiple factors, including the local climate, it is better to check your urine to see if you are consuming adequate supplies of water. It should be a pale yellow; darker indicates too little hydration while clear urine is generally caused by too much water.
Eat Lots Of Produce – Fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs should make up a large portion of your diet. You can also use frozen or canned produce when your favorites aren’t in season. In addition to a wide range of vitamins and minerals, these foods are rich in natural enzymes and fiber.
Maintain A Positive Attitude – Although you can’t eliminate the challenges of life, you can change how you feel about them. If you walk around with a negative attitude it will harm your body. The array of hormones and chemicals that are released when you get angry or depressed can make it harder to shed those unwanted pounds. Conversely, an optimistic outlook can dramatically improve your weight loss results.
Take Up Yoga – While any good weight loss plan will include regular exercise, yoga provides a wide range of benefits that other types of exercises don’t. In addition to stretching and strengthening your muscles, the poses will boost your cardiovascular health and calm your spirit.
You don’t have to passively accept your current weight. Instead, take a proactive stance with these tips. You will find it easier to shed that weight and keep it off when you follow these suggestions.
