How To Lose Weight And Keep It Off For Good!

Your plan should always include enjoying your preferred foods in moderation. Because that how thin people eat. You want to become thin.  There should be nothing on a “do not eat” list. While you certainly shouldn’t sit down with an entire cake, you need the freedom to have a couple of bites at a birthday party or to enjoy a glass of wine at a wedding – or even share sushi with friends!

But the big part of the story is: for a healthy tale of weight loss, you need to address the mental, emotional and spiritual issues that are keeping you stuck in eating patterns you don’t like. If your plan is all “left brain” diet rules and lists of things you can’t eat, you are doomed to fall back into the same habits that caused you to pack on the pounds in the first place.  Overweight people are mostly emotional eaters -trying to change how they feel about food. If your plan doesn’t address this emotional component, it can’t succeed.

Hypnosis is an excellent activity to calm your mind and get you in touch with your spirituality. So is meditation and prayer. Regular practice of all of these can improve your emotional balance and quiet down the thoughts running through your mind. Make sure to practice daily, even if you only have a few minutes to dedicate to the practice. When you control your state of mind, you can control a lot of other things.

Oh, and you can throw your scale away. Don’t focus on the scales unless you want to set yourself up for failure. Naturally thin people don’t use them very much. Why is that, you wonder? Because naturally thin people have a habit of noticing changes in their clothes and their body that tell them they are gaining or losing weight – not some artificial mechanical thing on the floor.  If you begin focusing on how your body feels and if your clothes fit differently, you will be much more accurate in assessing how you’re doing.

And the good news is it doesn’t take a lot of time to forge this new relationship with food and your body, and the results will be worth it in the end. Consider getting hypnosis training, joining a meditation group, prayer group, or other forms of support by connecting with people who have a high priority of wellness and health. Ask thin people about how they make their choices. Notice and model what they do and how they respond to life. It could be a window into the changes you can make!
